I’ve been let down a little too much recently, maybe it’s my personality repelling those who try to enter my fiercely built walls, or maybe it’s the personalities of others who can’t seem to see there are any walls at all and see me living freely and with no hurt when they turn me down. Either way, it is never okay to let someone down, or to let them slip away, especially when they didn’t know it was coming. And one day, you will see that and you will fall like the rest of us, broken hearted, folk.
So today I bumped into your florescent blue eyes. You looked at me for a second and looked away like we were never anything and then you proceeded to walk away. It’s fine I guess, that those days mean nothing to you now, they did once and I can pretend that they mean nothing to me too.
